#WeAreMore
I’m sure we can all agree that every woman deserves to feel beautiful, confident, powerful, and a number of other great things! We are capable human beings and each of us with a unique beauty that no one can take away. As a result, I and a few other bloggers decided to collaborate on a project (headed by Hannah of I’m Hannah) to help highlight who beautifully unique all women all and hopefully spark a movement! Over the month of September we will be sharing our stories with you. Our heartbreaks, our triumphs, our hurdles, our marathon of life and how God has been with us through it all.
Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve always been a bit peculiar. Being that I was so misunderstood, people didn’t really take to me the same way they would my friends or other people around me – this really took a toll on my self-esteem, which I struggled with for years. I was always the quiet one, the smart one, so-and-so’s friend – I never really had a name or identity. You get so used to living in the background and not cared for that you forget who you really are.
But all changed July 17, 2014 when I truly accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. I’ve always believed in God, but something changed for me that day – God showed me that I was special and He created me as a peculiar individual for a reason! And now I realize that all those years when I thought that no one paid attention to me or cared about what I was doing, people were actually watching my every move, getting inspiration from everything I did. I learned that I didn’t have to open my mouth to speak. My actions spoke for themselves.
So if you ever feel like no one cares or pays attention to you, just remember that God loves and cares for you more than you can imagine. And the world can say whatever they want to about who you are, God created you that way for a reason, and that’s all that matters! And those same people who seem to not pay any attention to you are the same ones waiting to see what new trails you blaze!

We are more than our past.
We are more than what the world tells us.
