Weekly Blessings: Week 79: 2016 – The Year of Second Chances
Good Morning, loves! It’s the last Sunday of 2015!
First off, I apologize for leaving you guys hanging on The 12 Days of Blogmas. With my birthday and everything going on, I fell off. I’ll do better next year! I also want to apologize for missing last week’s Weekly Blessing; I was celebrating my birthday and it completely slipped my mind. But I will make up for it today!
All month, I have been thinking about 2016. I don’t know about you, but 2015 wasn’t exactly the greatest year of my personal life, so I need 2016 to be a good one for me, ha.
But what’s funny is that everybody has been saying that they have a good feeling about the new year, including me. Whether it be in discussion with friends of family, a video on Periscope or Facebook, or a post on Twitter or Instagram, people have really been claiming 2016 as their time to really get it right.
Well I’m going to tell you now – it is going to be a good year for those who have really been trying to get things right with God.
Let me tell you from personal experience, 2015 has been a year of test and battle. I’ve had some excellent things happen, but my personal life took a bit of a beating. But it did show me that I needed to get closer to God and lean on Him before anything or anyone else. I hate I went through all that, but I wouldn’t have learned my lesson without it. And now I can start off fresh in the new year.
2016 will be a new start for me.
I plan to start from scratch with everything. I want to get this thing right. I don’t want to miss God or what He has for me!
So I just want to encourage some of you who are still trying to figure out how you feel about 2016:
Get ready, because it’s going to be one heck of a ride!
Embrace it as much as you can. You never know when – or if – another chance like this will come around. God is going to restore, revive, and renew some things in the lives of those who love Him and who try to live right and do what He asks them to do. Things you feel you may have missed out on, been tricked out of, or had stolen from you, God is going to make up for all of that and then some! All you have to do is surrender to His will and allow Him to work!
2016 will be the year of second chances – don’t let yours go to waste!
What’s your vision for 2016?
Have a blessed week, in Jesus’ name!!
