Weekly Blessings:Week 73:Mountains vs. Molehills(Part 1)
Good morning, and welcome to another installment of “Weekly Blessings!”
If you are new here, Weekly Blessings is a series here on The Pen & the Needle where I or a special guest comes and posts something that God has put on our hearts to share with our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ! We’re here every Sunday, so feel free to browse through past posts or return next week for more inspiration!
Oddly enough, this week’s Blessing came to me as I was doing my hair one morning.
Everyone’s heard the saying, “Make a mountain out of a molehill,” right? Well if you haven’t, it means that you’re making a big deal out of something that’s really not that serious.
Well God told me, “What about those that make a molehill out of a mountain?”
Well okay, God. That’s not as common of a phrase, but it makes a lot of sense.
Then God said,
“Some of my people are making me out to be a molehill – tell them that I am a mountain.”
That in itself just did something to me. It is such a simple, everyday phrase, but when God explained the flip side of it to me, I had to share!
We have to remember the time we live in – everyday we are seeing more and more signs of Jesus’ return. People are killing each other for no reason, the major countries of the world are all on edge, and being a Christian in America is getting harder and harder!
More and more people are falling away from the faith. And the most dangerous part about it is that some people don’t even realize it!
I don’t know about you, but I’ve been hearing more and more about how Christians are asleep, and we really are. Not saying everyone is, but as a group we are struggling.
We have started to water ourselves down and be too accepting of things that do not line up with the simple and plain word of God. God wants us to walk in love, but not so much to where we become lukewarm – unfortunately, that’s what a majority of God’s people have done.
We’re so busy trying to please man that we’ve forgotten that we need to please God!
We have to get back to remembering that God is kind of BIG DEAL! I mean, He created the Earth, animals, plants, the human race – He even created Lucifer! Lucifer’s a great topic to touch on to further my point, but we’ll get to that next week!
God also is the one who we will have to answer to at Judgement – are you prepared for that?
All I’m saying is that we need to take the time to remember who God was, is, and always will be.
The Great I Am
I would like to expand a bit more on my point, but I’m being led to hold back a bit. We’ll discuss this is more detail next week, I promise!
