Weekly Blessings:Week 68:You gone learn today!
Today’s “Blessing” has a funny name, but it isn’t exactly the most joyful message. Nonetheless, it needs to be addressed:
You could even use David as an example. David did all kinds of jacked up stuff, from adultery to murder, and God still loved and used him. You know God was always on him about something, but He did it because He loved David and knew he was better than that.
God uses that same logic with us!
God knows who we are and what we are capable of – He created us, for goodness sake! He’s literally our Father. He created each and every one of us in his image for a specific purpose, so He knows we’re destined for greatness – no wonder He disciplines us because He wants what’s best for us!
So sometimes when we go through certain trials and wonder why all this stuff is happening to you, it’s not always satan attacking you, it could just be God allowing certain things to happen to teach you a lesson and tell you to straighten up!
I guess what I’m trying to say is this:
You may be going through some trials right now that cause you to wonder where God is right now. I want to encourage you to either start or continue to pursue God and who He is. Just look read the news – we are being warned everyday! God wants us to get it together. Granted, these situations could easily be the work of the enemy, but just think about it – God brought on the great flood and destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah. Get right, folks! We have to get it together before it’s too late!
This is all the more urgent, for you know how late it is; time is running out. Wake up, for our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. The night is almost gone; the day of salvation will soon be here. So remove your dark deeds like dirty clothes, and put on the shining armor of right living. Because we belong to the day, we must live decent lives for all to see. Don’t participate in the darkness of wild parties and drunkenness, or in sexual promiscuity and immoral living, or in quarreling and jealousy. Instead, clothe yourself with the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ. And don’t let yourself think about ways to indulge your evil desires. ~ Romans 13:11-14
