Weekly Blessings: Week 30 with Tiffany Kirklin
For example, before I graduated from undergrad in this past May I was blessed with a great job as a consultant and given the opportunity to fly to multiple places. I thanked God for that blessing when he first blessed me with it, but then I began to complain about travel, salary, work, normal work complaints. Through it all, I couldn’t see that God has a bigger plan for my life and this is just a stepping stone to His plans. For God to truly bless you, you must be content with the path He has planned for you not the plan you planned have for yourself. God will look at your plan and laugh.
We’ve all heard of having seasons in this walk with Christ sometimes there are good seasons and there will also be “bad”/wilderness seasons to follow. But even in your wilderness or blessings from God, it is important to keep your eyes focused on God.
Stay encouraged. Surround yourself with positive people and also positive music. Sow into your soul positive things so that you may live a positive life. And definitely stay focused on Christ through the mist of it all.
Colossians 3:2-4
“Set your minds on things above, not earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ God. When Christ, who is your life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.“

That is a blessing indeed. I dreamed of a travel job but ended up marrying and love how God directed my path so much better han I imagined.
Thank you for this reminder. I have certainly had my days (even years) in the wilderness. I really lost focus during those times. Staying focused on Christ at ALL times is truly life changing!
Everything happens for a reason! I love each opportunity that God places in my journey! =)
Thanks for such kind words!
Yes! Definitely! It's important to keep Him number one whether happy or sad!
Thanks!
