Weekly Blessings: Week 30 with Tiffany Kirklin

Good morning, folks! To my regular guests, I’m glad you could join me again! If this is your first time dropping in, welcome! I hope you enjoy today’s post and decide to join us again next Sunday!

Today, we have our second guest post of the year from Tiffany, blogger at More Than Just A Pretty Face.

Tiffany is a young Southern girl and business consultant. Her blog is centered around working in the corporate world while dealing with life’s ups and down. She also  has great posts about travel, Christian life, and advice on how to manage some of life’s curve balls. It’s pretty cool, go check her out!

Focused on Christ

Now that the new year is here and everyone is setting new goals/resolutions. It is important to keep your #1 priority at the top of that list. When life happens and things just doesn’t seem to go your way or planned like you expected, I’m more than sure you lean & trust in God during those times. It’s not only in the hard times we should trust and believe in Him. When life is GREAT and going as planned it is important to remain focused on your #1, God, because without Him you wouldn’t be in that awesome situation or raised a promotion.

For example, before I graduated from undergrad in this past May I was blessed with a great job as a consultant and given the opportunity to fly to multiple places. I thanked God for that blessing when he first blessed me with it, but then I began to complain about travel, salary, work, normal work complaints. Through it all, I couldn’t see that God has a bigger plan for my life and this is just a stepping stone to His plans. For God to truly bless you, you must be content with the path He has planned for you not the plan you planned have for yourself. God will look at your plan and laugh.

We’ve all heard of having seasons in this walk with Christ sometimes there are good seasons and there will also be “bad”/wilderness seasons to follow. But even in your wilderness or blessings from God, it is important to keep your eyes focused on God.

Stay encouraged. Surround yourself with positive people and also positive music. Sow into your soul positive things so that you may live a positive life. And definitely stay focused on Christ through the mist of it all.

Colossians 3:2-4
“Set your minds on things above, not earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ God. When Christ, who is your life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.

How’d you like Tiffany’s “Blessing?” If you’d like to share something (Bible verse, a song, or a message…anything!) that God has put on your heart or have a question or comment you would like to share, you’re more than welcome! 1. Thank you for this reminder. I have certainly had my days (even years) in the wilderness. I really lost focus during those times. Staying focused on Christ at ALL times is truly life changing!
