Weekly Blessings: Week 19 with Tra’Shawn Standifer

Good afternoon and welcome to another installment of “Weekly Blessings!” Sorry this week’s post is so late, but I promise you it was worth the wait!

This week’s post comes from my good friend, Tra’Shawn, who is a young man on fire for God. He’s a huge joker and always has something crazy to say, but he’s also one of the sweetest people I know.

I now give you Tra’Shawn’s “Weekly Blessing.” Enjoy!

It’s Time to Wake Up
First I would like to thank my friend Jessica for this opportunity to share in efforts to help our people
become more informed to what God calls us to.

Today I won’t be long with what I believe God has on my heart to say. We as a people need to wake up. Complacency in our society today cannot be allowed among Christians. I’m not talking about people who claim to be Christians then do the total opposite of what the word says, but I’m talking about true believers and doers of the word. I see a generation who is scared and are in hiding places. Romans 8 tells us that God is for us, so then who can be against us? What is the thing that is causing our faith to waiver? God has called us to go out into all nations and make disciples baptizing them in the name of God, the Son, and the  Holy Spirit. We have the resources to make the change here in America;  and not just America, but the world. Fear is not of God. For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear but of love and a sound mind. It is our responsibility as TRUE FOLLOWERS OF CHRIST to be the light in the mist of darkness. God holds us accountable for what we do. Let’s make it our aim to please God and not ourselves. This is a message of urgency that I hope encourages you to pick up your sword (that is the word), your armor and shield (that being the breastplate of righteousness), and build your prayer life. God needs his people to be warriors again. Times are getting more intensified with evil as days go by. It’s time to fight back and turn the tide for Gods glory. Enjoy the rest of your days knowing that He is with us. He is the peace in the mist of chaos.
