Product Review: Organic Root Stimulator Olive Oil Replenishing Pak
I’ve been on the lookout for a good deep conditioner to keep my hair moisturized,so I decided to experiment a little bit. I used to be the type to either just use a normal conditioner or do a hot oil treatment, neither of which I have found to really help. After testing my hair porosity (which I discussed in a previous post) I found that glycerin is a big deal for my hair type. So I was in the store one day and saw this Organic Root Stimulator Replenishing Pak. Glycerine was the third ingredient and the other ingredients seemed to be pretty good, so I decided to try it.
First thing I liked about the Pak is the fact that it was so cheap. I bought it from Family Dollar and it only cost me $1.29 which is wonderful since I just wanted to test it out (they do sell it in a bottle too). Even though it may look like there isn’t much conditioner in the pak, there’s actually a good bit in there. Some people (not me,cause my hair is too thick) could easily get two sessions out of it. The conditioner isn’t watery; it feels thick and it smells great! The instructions tell you to sit, either under heat for about 10 minutes or without heat for 45 minutes to an hour, for the conditioner to really do its stuff.
When I washed it out, it felt alright. Other reviews I’ve seen have talked about how their hair felt so soft, and I’m not saying mine didn’t, but it didn’t feel as soft as it usually does. But I’m still getting used to my hair and how to really care for it, so don’t take my word to heart. I will say though, my hair felt really clean and refreshed. After I washed it out, it felt like my hair had a breath of fresh air.
Overall, I give the product 5 stars. It did what it claimed it would do, and it doesn’t cost an arm and a leg to purchase. I will definitely be using this product again!
